This photo shows an electric tram arriving into Douglas village around 1910, captured from what is now Douglas Village West, looking back toward the city. The trams stopped running in 1931.Ā
The building at the back left with the large āCRAWFORDāSā sign is what we now know as OāDriscollās pub, originally a Beamish & Crawford tied house.Ā
Todayās photo below from the same position shows that OāDriscollās is still going strong.
